I’m always looking for good tips from other photographers and it just so happens I came across some from a photographer who is also a professional singer! His name is Guy Sebastian, an Australian singer who represented his country at the Eurovision Song Competition last year. You may be thinking, “Australia? In the Eurovision Song Competition?” Yes, I know, Australia isn’t part of Europe, but the country has one of the biggest Eurovision fan bases in the world. The fan base is so big that for the first time in Eurovision history, a country from outside the European Union was asked to compete in the song competition last year. Guy had the honor of being the singer to represent Australia and he was incredible! Now he is sharing some of his photo tips with the world. Speaking of Eurovision, the competition takes place this year in Stockholm, Sweden and starts in 15 days. Australia has been asked back to compete again and will be represented by singer Dami Im. So far the songs I’ve heard for the competition are quite good. You can watch the competition on You Tube live at 12pm PST on May 10th, 12th, and the Grand Final on Saturday the 14th. Good luck to all the contestants!
As far as my trip goes, I will be going to Mammoth, Yosemite, Lake Tahoe, Squaw Valley, and Lassen Volcanic National Park…with the possibility of Mount Shasta. I’m going to be really tired after the trip, but it’ll be fun. I’ll post photos most likely after I get back. I’m still working out the trip details, but all looks good at this point. I’m hoping for some good astrophotography with my wide angle lenses.
Have a great week everyone!
