I joined my sister and niece this weekend and went to the Antelope Valley California Poppy Reserver. This was the first time I had been there and wasn’t disappointed.

While it’s considered a moderate bloom this year, there was still an amazing display of color. There was also a huge crowd of people on Saturday and the line of cars to get in the entrance was crazy! The only complaint we had for the day was that there wasn’t enough restrooms for people.

Below are a few photos I took while there. The first was taken from the visitors center, looking out toward the parking area and the line of cars to get in. The other photos are of the different blooms in the area. If you get a chance to go see it, be sure to get there early in the morning. Arrive around 7am. Yes, I said it, 7am!
