Quick! Grab That iPad!

I was driving to work, on Monday morning last week, when out of nowhere came this beautiful rainbow in the sky. I thought, “Well, there you have it…and I don’t have my camera with me, again.”

So, while stuck in traffic, I looked over at the passenger seat and saw my iPad. I remember that it has a camera, but haven’t really tested it out. Since traffic had me at a complete halt, I grabbed the iPad quickly and took the shot below. It’s not too bad for a 5 megapixel camera. The picture is cropped, but would have been better if I had been in a place where I could take more time to compose the shot.

I’ve downloaded the Photoshop app on my iPad and plan to take more photos with it soon. I’ve seen some really amazing photos taken with the iPhone, so I’m wondering if I could possibly get good photos using the iPad as a second camera. If anything, it will make a good camera for compositional ideas and sketches.

On a side note, this Sunday has been exceptionally bizarre, partially because I forgot today is the first day of Daylight Savings Time! I was completely oblivious to it and then realized after seeing the clock on the iPad and then the one in the kitchen; the iPad was correct and the kitchen clock was behind. I didn’t notice the time change until about 2pm today. No wonder there were more people at the grocery store than there normally are at 8am.

Have a great week everyone!
