In autumn, unless there has been a rain storm, the south fork of the Merced River has basically slowed to a trickle. It’s actually quite tranquil to sit along the pile of rocks and listen to the small amount of water making its way down stream. I usually take one last look at the river before I leave for the season and reflect on the trip.
Below is an image I took as I was leaving Yosemite and heading home in the early morning on my last trip. All the rocks in the image are usually completely covered with a turbulent cascade of water.
I need to start focusing on my trips for this year. Looking forward to new images and new adventures!
Have a great week everyone!
