The rain in Yosemite during my October trip was so incredible! I tried to hike as much as I could during the rain. I know that sounds strange, but hiking in the rain is the best!

I was up along the Glacier Point Road on one of the rainy days and saw the McGurk Meadow Trail sign. Since this is a fairly short hike, I decided to take in the view of the meadow. This is one of my favorite “little” hikes because it’s just a nice walk through the forest.

One of the best things about this trail is a little cabin that is right before the meadow. Years ago cattle ranchers would use the cabin as shelter during bad weather. Below are two pictures I took of the cabin, and yes, I did go inside to see what it was like. It’s definitely small, but very cozy. 🙂
