I’m currently working on two photography book projects and always keep a look out for unique and creative books by other photographers. Last week I came across one by a photographer out of the UK called Stormtroopers, We Love You. The book is a funny and whimsical look at those white armor clad antagonists from the Star Wars films with a little bit of a twist: They are represented in the form of Lego figures in hilarious situations. Creative depth of field, inventive stop motion of water, and unique use of light are some of the strong elements you will find in this book created by photographer Mike Stimpson. I’m cutting this blog entry a little short this week because it’s late and I was working on the structure of my website most of the day. Some changes to the site are coming that I’m excited about and take a little more time to work on than I anticipated…but it will be worth it in the end.
