Well, guess what? I ended up going to Lassen Volcanic National Park last weekend! It ended up being a beautiful weekend!

Below is an early morning shot I took at Butte Lake, on the east side of the park. I parked by the lake before hiking to the Cinder Cone and Painted Dunes.

The haze from the Carr fire around Redding wasn’t too bad. Saturday was probably the best day, with blue skies for miles.
