Last October in Yosemite, I was walking around Yosemite Valley one day and decided to just go up the Mist Trail part of the way. This was an impromptu hike and I decided to go as far as I could and come back down to the valley floor. I went part of the way up the granite stairs and decided to turn around since my knees were giving me problems and it’s a pretty aggressive hike.
Below are two images from the hike. One is of Vernal Falls from the vantage point of the lower granite stairs. The other is of a small group of mule deer that were grazing along the trail. I almost didn’t notice them as they seemed kind of camouflaged in the forest. I was about 10 feet away from them when I thought, “Oh! Deer!” 🙂
Have a great week everyone!
