Tilt Shift Miniaturization Effect

I didn’t get the perfect shot I was looking for this week for the tilt shift miniaturization effect, but below is one of the shots I was able to make. There weren’t many people in the area that morning and the sun was causing a lot of strong shadows. I’ll try again later to see if a better shot can be made. However, you can kind of get an idea of the miniaturization effect, making the shopping area look like a toy model.

Speaking of miniaturization, I’ll feel really small standing among some of the largest trees in the world when the Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoias opens later this year in Yosemite. The grove has been closed since early 2015 and is set to reopen this Fall. There’ll be new trails and a new parking lot, making the area more eco friendly. I’m hoping for great photo opportunities around the trees when I go in late October.

Have a great week everyone!
