Visualization

I recently received my monthly copy of Outdoor Photographer in the mail and as always have enjoyed the articles in it. There is one article in the magazine that I feel every photographer can benefit from. The article is called “The Power of Visualization” and is written by a man that I took my first photo workshop from. His name: Michael Frye. Michael has a great technique to his photography and brings a lot of feeling to his images. Below is the link to the online version of his article. I encourage anyone reading my blog to take time out and read Michael’s article.

The Power of Visualization by Michael Frye

As far as my photography, I’m currently working on a schedule for different locations to visit this year. I can’t believe it’s already March and I’m just getting started with it! I’m looking forward to early summer when I’ll have a two week window to do some astrophotography. Hard to believe there’ll be that much time to see the Milky Way in the southern sky at night. I’m trying to pinpoint a location along the coast, but if that doesn’t work out, it’s up to the high Sierra. I’m thinking of taking shorter trips this year (3 or 4 days at a time) instead of week long excursions. I’ll be able to get to more locations that way. I’ll keep you all posted on my trip plans in the weeks to come.

Have a great week everyone!
