Winter Weather And Website Update

Another small storm is coming across Southern California, but we really need more rain here to help with the drought. Below are some picture of two recent storms.

The first picture I took on December 23, 2015. The waves were crashing really hard that morning against the roadway. As a matter of fact, most of the water you see in the photo (approximately 90 percent of it) is usually just a sandy beach. That’s how intense the water levels were that week.

The next two photos were taken on January 10, 2016. The water in the first of the two pictures wasn’t really coming very far up the shore, so I drove a little further down the coast and took another photo of the water coming across the rocks. I used a ND filter to slow the water down and give it a more ethereal feel.

I’ve updated my website with some new photos. The Yosemite and Eastern Sierra galleries have some new images and so does the Black and White gallery. I’m actually beginning to like taking black and white photos and may start focusing on it more.

I’ll be updating the slideshow on the front of my website soon; I just didn’t have time to adjust it this evening. I’m in the middle of watching a movie, “The Martian”, so I’ll try and work on the slideshow while the movie is on.

Have a great week everyone!
